7 Best Shenandoah Valley Wedding Venues

December 15, 2023

Virginia is full of some of the most beautiful wedding venues, and the Shenandoah Valley is no exception. If that is your dream location for your wedding, you will find no shortage of amazing Shenandoah Valley wedding venues to choose from.

As a Virginia wedding photographer, I have had the chance to travel all over the state to capture weddings, but there is something so beautiful and special about getting married in this area. Not only is it close to other cities, making it easy for guests to travel in, but you can’t beat the Blue Ridge Mountains as your backdrop.

So, if you are looking for the best Shenandoah Valley wedding venues for your dream night, here are a few of my top picks!

Top Shenandoah Valley Wedding Venues

Goodstone Inn & Restaurant

First up, we have the Goodstone Inn & Restaurant. This venue is absolutely beautiful, and you will get amazing food to make for an unforgettable wedding. Whether you are having a more intimate elopement or a large wedding, they have the perfect packages for you.

You can start by getting ready in one of their six cottages that have plenty of room for you and your entire wedding party. They also bring lunch right to the cottage for you, so you don’t even have to worry about forgetting to eat all day!

For the ceremony, you can say I do it in front of a beautiful view of the mountains or in front of an ivy-covered wall. You and your guests will get to enjoy the pool and firepit during cocktail hour before having a stunning outdoor reception.

What’s even better is their in-house chef will work with you to curate the perfect menu for you and your guests, and you can even opt to have snacks later in the night after everyone has broken down on the dance floor.

Since this is an inn, they also have plenty of rooms for your guests, and you can even make an entire weekend out of it with planned events for everyone!

Brix & Column Vineyard

Brix & Column Vineyard is an amazing venue if you are looking for the perfect indoor/outdoor mix for your wedding. This vineyard is absolutely beautiful, with amazing views and a massive house on the property.

There are separate rooms for both you and your partner to get ready with your wedding parties right on the property. When it comes time to walk down the aisle, they have both an indoor and an outdoor ceremony location to choose from.

The outdoor option is right on their lawn and has a brick platform for you and your partner with beautiful views of the surrounding areas. If the weather isn’t great or if you are planning a winter wedding, you can head inside the Jeffersonian to tie the knot and dance the night away.

For your cocktail hour, you can either head out to the patio and enjoy the views or check out one of their tasting rooms before heading into the grand ballroom for your reception!

Salamander Resort & Spa

For a more luxurious resort wedding, the Salamander Resort & Spa is the perfect place for you and your partner. This property has so much space and so many different locations throughout that you and your partner can book for your wedding.

Whether you are hosting 20 guests or over 400, they have a ton of different indoor and outdoor venues for you to choose from. From barns to gardens to terraces to their Grand Ballroom, each place is just as beautiful as the last and will give you a stunning backdrop for your wedding.

Not only do you get a beautiful location, but there are also a ton of additional things included in your wedding package. You’ll get things like a free night at the resort for you and your partner, all the tables, chairs, linens, and more for your reception, a three or four-course dinner for you and your guests, and they even include your wedding cake!

On top of all of that, there are over 160 rooms at the resort, meaning that, big or small, all of your wedding guests can stay at the hotel, and you can make an entire weekend out of it being around your closest friends and family!

Hazy Mountain Vineyards & Brewery

For the perfect views of the Blue Ridge Mountains, head over to Hazy Mountain Vineyards & Brewery. This stunning wedding venue is 36 acres and makes you feel like you have been transported to Tuscany.

Their “Something Borrowed” and “Something Blue” getting ready suites are the perfect places to spend the morning getting ready to walk down the aisle. Once you are ready to tie the knot, you can head out to the brick courtyard with sweeping views of the Blue Ridge Mountains as your backdrop.

They have a Solarium with access to an outdoor bar for you and your guests to enjoy during your cocktail hour before heading into the reception hall. The hall has an amazing European vibe to it, with a stone accent wall and beautiful, exposed wooden beams overhead. The hall can accommodate up to 200 guests, so you and all of your friends and family will have plenty of space!

There is even an entire villa on the property that can sleep up to 14 people. Not only that, but you’ll also have planners helping you create the perfect wedding and in-house chefs creating a dreamy menu with the perfect wine pairings.

You honestly can’t ask for much more, and this is an incredible place for your wedding if you are looking for that Italian vibe without having a destination wedding!

Long Branch Farm

Built back in the early 1800s, this farm and historic house is an ideal venue for anyone looking to have a bit more history intertwined in their wedding. Now, just because it is historic doesn’t mean Long Branch Farm isn’t still a beautiful place to get married.

They have getting-ready suites in the mansion for you and your partner to use as you get ready for the ceremony. Their outdoor ceremony location is beautiful and has amazing views of the surrounding valley, with plenty of room for you and your guests.

You can keep the party going outside for your reception to take advantage of the scenery, or, for smaller weddings, you can head inside to the Main Gallery. You’ll also have access to a few gardens throughout the property during your wedding, so you are sure to get amazing photos!

The Stable at Bluemont Vineyard

Spring, summer, winter, or fall, The Stable at Bluemont Vineyard is an amazing place to tie the knot. With different options depending on the weather, this venue is really the perfect all-season venue with stunning views.

There is a getting-ready suite on the property to start the day off, and then you can opt to have your ceremony in a beautiful stone courtyard overlooking the mountains or inside in the stable that has been restored to create a stunning ceremony and reception location.

There are also so many amazing places to take pictures throughout the property, including in the vineyards themselves, and the fall colors are second to none here. You’ll also have their exclusive catering for an amazing meal and their house wines to make a perfect combination!

Morais Vineyards & Winery

Last but certainly not least, we have the Morais Vineyards & Winery. This is another European-styled winery that is not only incredible on its own but also has amazing views of the surrounding area.

There are so many things that you get included in a wedding here that we can’t list them all, but some of the highlights are getting ready suites, your choice of ceremony locations, a grand ballroom for your reception, and a bar room.

For your ceremony, there is a chapel, a grand indoor ceremony location, and a beautiful outdoor location with a stunning walkway leading down the aisle.

There are also various spots like patios, terraces, courtyards, and more for you and your guests to enjoy during your wedding. Every single part of this venue is so beautiful, and you and your partner will have a hard time picking where you want to take portraits with all of the amazing spaces throughout the property!
