Whether you’re looking for a smaller wedding location like a local downtown restaurant or want something a bit larger like a vineyard, this post has got you covered. No matter what type of Charlottesville wedding venue you’re looking for, you’ll find one worth booking.

Here are all of the best wedding venues in Charlottesville! 

The Wool Factory

Location: 1837 Broadway St, Charlottesville, VA 22902

First up is one of the absolute top Charlottesville VA wedding venues, The Wool Factory. For couples looking for a more industrial and modern vibe for their wedding, The Wool Factory is absolutely perfect.

It’s located at an old textile mill from the 19th century that was restored, which can be seen in the property’s beautiful architecture. Weddings at this location can host up to 220 guests, and there’s even a mobile bar and tables and benches included in the booking price!

Montfair Resort Farm

Location: 2500 Bezaleel Dr, Crozet, VA 22932

For an eco-friendly wedding location near Charlottesville, nestled in the Blue Ridge Mountains, look no further than the Montfair Resort Farm. The views at this location are absolutely spectacular, and it’s ideal for couples who want a more outdoorsy wedding.

Weddings here can be hosted at the Montfair Event Lodge, which is climate-controlled, so it’s great year-round. There are also so many trails in the area, which can be perfect for a nature-inspired wedding shoot.

Keswick Vineyards

Common House

This social club doubles as a beautiful location for a wedding venue in Charlottesville! Common House is located on the Downtown Mall and is extremely flexible when it comes to design, so no matter your wedding theme, this location can easily match.

When an event is hosted at Common House, this property helps with so much: curated wines, bar services, a/v equipment, and event catering. They have quite a few spaces, but their most popular is the Vinegar Hall.

Old Metropolitan Hall

Another of the wedding venues in Charlottesville located on the Downtown Mall is Old Metropolitan Hall. This upscale venue has a sort of edgy yet elegant vibe to it, which is perfect for a unique wedding.

For couples wanting a more urban wedding, Old Metropolitan Hall is perfect. It can host up to 80 guests for an intimate wedding day. The building itself is an architectural marvel, dating back to the early 1900s and featuring restored details from when it was first built. 

Boar’s Head Resort

The Local Restaurant

Location: 824 Hinton Ave, Charlottesville, VA 22902

Believe it or not, but The Local Restaurant is one of the top Charlottesville VA wedding venues! It can host up to 200 guests for a large wedding or can accommodate fewer for a more intimate wedding if needed.

They have four different spaces throughout the restaurant to choose between (Skyline Room, Blue Ridge Pavilion, Hearth Room, and Wine Room), and they will even help to build a custom menu for your big day. What makes this venue so amazing is that they will also be sure to accommodate your budget and help to work with you!

Quirk Hotel

Location: 201 W Broad St, Richmond, VA 23220

How can you go wrong with a name like Quirk Hotel, especially if you want a unique wedding? This breathtaking property has beautiful views of the downtown area and even features a rooftop with great lighting in the evenings.

The Quirk Hotel can host anywhere between 80 and 150 guests for weddings, but they do have more options for weddings closer to the 80-person count. They also offer accommodations throughout their guest rooms!

The Market at Grelen

Did someone say a whimsical outdoorsy wedding? The Market at Grelen is genuinely magical and features some of the most beautiful views in the area! It’s a bit more rural since it’s located in Somerset but truly shouldn’t be slept on.

This location offers a few different event spaces throughout, including a terrace, greenhouse, and even a berry field. There’s also a stargazing tent option if the wedding will be happening in the evening, which is truly an out-of-this-world experience.

Early Mountain Vineyards

Location: 6109 Wolftown-Hood Rd, Madison, VA 22727

Early Mountain Vineyards is another of the wedding venues in the Charlottesville VA area with beautiful views of the mountains. It’s located in Madison, so it’s not as central as other venues on this list, but it has a rustic, outdoorsy atmosphere to it.

This location has both indoor and outdoor spots that can truly be customized to your needs. The Ceremony Lawn, in particular is tranquil, surrounded by the site’s vineyards. Plus, their 200-year-old barn is truly rustic yet simple for the couple wanting a more country wedding.

Eastwood Farm and Winery

Location: 2531 Scottsville Road, Charlottesville, Virginia 22902

Next is the Eastwood Farm and Winery which is a super versatile location. This 77 acre farm has multiple locations to choose from for both your wedding and reception. There is even a wine package so you can enjoy the wine directly from the vineyard. 

This location also includes access to the Winery Cottage Bridal Suite and you can rent this cottage out for the weekend (subject to availability) as well. The venue can accommodate up to 200 people (depending on which location you select) and is super easy to access from downtown so there is sure to be plenty of hotels around to house all of your guests leading up to your special day!

Oakhurst Inn

Location: 122 Oakhurst Cir, Charlottesville, VA 22903

The Oakhurst Inn is a cozy wedding venue in Charlottesville that’s perfect for more intimate gatherings. They have a few different spaces throughout, including a bar, garden room, and even an outdoor pool, which can be covered and turned into a dance floor!

There are all-inclusive packages available for weddings at this space, as well as in-house catering and accommodations if needed. The venue used to serve as a home to a local professor in the early 20th century and has since been completely renovated to serve as an inn and event space.

The Space Downtown

Location: 210 W Water St, Charlottesville, VA 22902

The Space Downtown is in beautiful downtown historic Charlottesville and offers a more modern and industrial atmosphere than other venues on this list and in the area. It can host up to 150 guests for events and is owned by two chefs, so you know it’s a great space for foodies!

The interior features exposed brick walls and unique bulb lighting hanging from the ceiling. For couples wanting an urban feeling for their wedding versus getting married at a large classic estate, The Space Downtown is absolutely perfect.

Veritas Vineyards

Location: 151 Veritas Ln, Afton, VA 22920

Veritas is a stunning venue with 3 different event spaces to choose from for your ceremony and/or reception. It can accommodate up to 250 guests, so it’s an incredible choice for folks wanting to throw an unforgettable party.

Pippin Hill Farm & Vineyards

Last but certainly not least is a world-renowned location, Pippin Hill Farm & Vineyards. They offer all-inclusive packages that include catering, bar service, and more, making it super easy to enjoy your day without the hassle.
