A LOOK AT

THE PROCESS

Here's an overview of what you can expect working with together from start to finish. I'm known for making the experience personalized, but not being in your face 24/7.

1. initial consult

Once you fill out a contact form, I'll send you some more info. From there we set up a super casual consult call.

When you're ready to make it official, I'll send over a proposal of services. In this online document you'll be able to pay your retainer and sign the contract to officially get on my calendar.

2. PROPOSAL DELIVERY

3. planning / consulting

I'll work closely with you and your planner to ensure that everything runs smoothly in the lead up to your wedding day! You'll receive style and planning guides to give you the inside scoop on how to get the best images possible.

4. engagement session

If you've booked an engagement session, we'll work together to get you some dreamy photos and get to know each other IRL!

5. Pre-wedding prep

A month or two before your wedding, I'll check-in with you to send over a questionnaire to get all the info I need to create your photo timeline.

6. wedding

I'll be all over the place making sure you get photos of moments you didn't even know were happening. That way you can focus on having the best party ever!

You can expect a preview of your images within 1 week of your wedding day! From there, I will carefully curate and edit your gallery, which you can expect no later than 12 weeks after your wedding.

7. post-wedding

MY APPROACH -

you'll get more than just a picture to put over the fireplace.

My years of experience at weddings have taught me things beyond taking photos. I've learned to read the room, anticipate the unexpected, understand when to step in and offer guidance, and when to let you have space to ensure you're fully present. I pride myself on a very laid-back approach to portraits, and my couples and their people often forget I'm there by encouraging fun over rigid poses.

I take on a limited number of weddings per year to ensure that each couple gets my whole heart and soul. Inquire now to see if I'm available.

KIND WORDS

“Eilish is a true talent."

— Sarah and jack

"During the ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception, she and her assistant weren't even noticeable.”

I've been to so many weddings where the photographers were in the middle of the dance floor with tons of lighting, which affected the overall vibe and prevented people from dancing or getting near the bride. This was huge for me, because I wanted everyone to have a good time without being self conscious of being photographed. After the wedding, my bridesmaids were raving about her, saying how painful it usually is to be a part of the wedding party and pose in photos for hours. Eilish is the first positive wedding photo experience they've had, as it didn't feel like posing for hours since she makes the experience more natural and fun.

— GRACE AND PETER

“Our photos are so beautiful, and I love that they are of real moments with the people we love most.”

So many people commented on how they never felt awkward about our media team- especially for our ceremony. Eilish will make sure your guests are present, enjoying the moment- without ever getting in the way- while still capturing every detail you want

— MAGGIE AND JASON

We wanted a photographer who understood our vision and captured the energy of the day. And Eilish did that beautifully.

Frequently asked questions

WHAT'S THE COST?

I create tailored packages for each client. My years of experience have taught me that no two weddings ever run the same, and everyone has different needs and wants. Wedding day pricing begins at $7,000 for full-day film and digital coverage in the Charlottesville and Richmond, VA area. Most clients invest anywhere from $7,000 - $13,500. DO YOU TRAVEL?

Sometimes! Depends on when and where. I mostly work in Charlottesville, Richmond, and DC.

DO YOU TAKE ANY POSED PHOTOS?

I'll set aside a few minutes for formal photos of you with your people, because I know how important those are and don't want to discourage them. I'll give direction and guidance when necessary during your allotted portrait time to ensure you look and feel your best, but for most of the day I want things to unfold naturally so you can remember your day without any artificially created moments.

DO YOU WORK WITH A SECOND PHOTOGRAPHER?

My base packages do not include a second photographer. I am perfectly comfortable working on my own on low-key wedding days! For more intricate events, I build in the cost of a second in your final pricing. I always have the option to add one on, though.

when will we receive our images?

Within 12 weeks for most weddings.

DO YOU PHOTOGRAPH ON FILM?

I do! Almost all of my work on this website is film because I love it so much! Film coverage is included in all packages. I use a mixture of 35mm and medium format on wedding days. Looser timelines allow for heavier film coverage, and I tend to use anywhere from 10-30 rolls per day.

a note on

Film Wedding Photography

I often get asked, "So why film?"- I wish I had a concise answer for you, but it's the feeling behind the photos. It's the challenge of slowing down and being intentional with each moment I choose to document. It's the magic that happens when the stars align, and I get the perfect shot without knowing in the moment. It's the chance to connect with your grandfather, who brought his own camera during cocktail hour, and talk about his favorite film stocks. To me, film makes sense for wedding photography. It doesn't hide imperfections; it lets them shine and help tell the story. In a time when everything is so easily replicated, or even artificial feeling, it is refreshing to have something full of grit and emotion, unapologetically you.
