7 Incredible Luxury Wedding Venues in Virginia

May 17, 2024

Virginia is filled with incredible wedding venues from downtown areas to mountain escapes. Not only are there some unique options out there, but there are also so many incredible luxury wedding venues in Virginia.

As a Virginia wedding photographer, I have had the opportunity to capture weddings at so many different luxury venues throughout the state and there are a few that I am always excited to go back to.

So, if you and your partner are searching for that dream luxury wedding venue in Virginia, check out this list of my top picks to help get you started!

Best Luxury Wedding Venues in Virginia

Pippin Hill Farm & Vineyards

Starting off strong, we have Pippin Hill Farm & Vineyards. If you are looking for that perfect combination of luxury venue and incredible views of the Blue Ridge Mountains, Pippin Hill is your place.

The venue has all-inclusive packages meaning you don’t have to stress about coordinating a long list of vendors. Plus, they have both indoor and outdoor options for your wedding ceremony so no matter the season, they have you covered.

The outdoor Vineyard Lawn can accommodate up to 200 guests which is perfect for a larger wedding. Or, if you want something a bit smaller, but still outdoors, you can head to their Main Lawn instead.

Their Tasting Room and Granary offer the perfect backdrop for your cocktail hour and reception and you can’t forget about their award winning wine that definitely does not disappoint!

Goodstone Inn & Restaurant

Located in the Shenandoah Valley, the Goodstone Inn & Restaurant is a dream place to tie the knot. Not only is it a wedding venue, but it is also an active inn so you and your guests can make an entire weekend getaway out of your wedding and enjoy even more time with the people closest to you.

While there are so many amazing features to this venue, a few of them that stand out are their in-house catering and the different locations throughout the venue.

The inn has an incredible team of chefs that work with you to create your perfect wedding reception menu. They even have options to add on late night snacks (because we all know how hungry we get after dancing all night) and they will bring lunch right to your getting ready suite on your wedding day.

Goodstone Inn can also accommodate a variety of weddings whether you are planning a more intimate elopement or a grand wedding. They can host up to 300 guests for your wedding so there is plenty of space for everyone!

Plus, they have both indoor and outdoor options for your wedding including ones with incredible mountain views for that dream ceremony!

Keswick Hall

Keswick Hall is an absolutely stunning resort in Charlottesville. This luxury resort has everything you could want in a wedding venue. They have both indoor and outdoor options for your wedding and the hardest decision you will have to make is which options to pick.

The hall itself makes you feel as though you have been transported to Europe and there is a massive lawn overlooking their golf course and the Blue Ridge Mountains.

For your wedding, you can opt to go a bit smaller and have as few as 50 guests, or you can plan your dream celebration with all of the people closest to you with room for up to 250 guests.

While there are so many amazing features to this venue, the Great Lawn really takes the cake here. Not only do you get great views of the surrounding areas, but you have the stunning architecture of the hall as your backdrop. There are even two massive staircases on either side that make you feel as though you are walking down into your own fairytale.

The Clifton

The Clifton is an incredible inn right in Charlottesville. Although you are close to the city, you feel as if you are in a world of your own. This is another great option if you are looking to make an entire weekend out of your wedding.

The inn is able to accommodate you and your guests and you can have your rehearsal dinner right on site on Friday, tie the knot on Saturday, and have a farewell brunch to close out the weekend on Sunday.

With room for 200+ guests throughout the different venues on the property, you will definitely find the perfect spot to tie the knot with your partner. You can then celebrate the night away with your friends and family in a beautiful outdoor tent (with hardwood floors too!) to close out your dream wedding.

This really is the perfect venue if you are looking for something that combines history with modern touches!

Veritas Vineyards

If you are looking for a four season venue for your wedding, Veritas Vineyards is perfect. This venue is in Afton, Virginia and is a dream place to say I do. They have three different venues throughout that you can choose from for either an indoor or an outdoor wedding.

This is a great option if you are looking to have a bigger wedding as the vineyards can accommodate 250 plus guests depending on the venue you choose.

Now, as with most vineyards, you are going to get incredible views of the property and vineyards around the venue. But, Veritas Vineyards also has one special addition that makes your wedding unique.

They have a wine cellar that you can have access to during your wedding to take portraits. This is an amazing option for you and your partner and will give you memories and photos that you will cherish forever!

Dover Hall

Next up is Dover Hall, which honestly is one of my favorite wedding venues in the state. There are so many amazing features to this venue and every wedding here is just absolutely incredible.

Now, while I could go on and on about this venue, I’ll just highlight a few of the best parts. First, they have great getting ready suites for you and your partner. This makes it really easy to have a stress free morning and enjoy time with your wedding parties.

They also have indoor and outdoor options for your ceremony and, honestly, you can’t go wrong with either of them. The hall itself is also so beautiful and there are so many places for you and your partner to escape to for some portraits and quiet moments together.

For your reception, you can choose between the Ballroom and the Glass Hall. The Ballroom can accommodate anywhere from 125 to 200 guests depending on the setup and has some really amazing details throughout to make it feel one of a kind.

The Glass Hall can accommodate up to 400 guests and has stunning floor to ceiling glass windows and a covered porch that you can use during your reception as well!

Farmington Country Club

Last, but not least, we have the Farmington Country Club. While the country club has existed for just under a century, the buildings date back to the 1700s giving it a rich history with modern elegance.

The club can host up to 250 guests for your wedding and there are both indoor and outdoor options for you to choose from. Not only is the club amazing, but you will also get incredible views of the Blue Ridge Mountains in the distance, making it the perfect place to start your new life together.
