5 Perfect Lexington, VA Wedding Venues

November 6, 2023

Virginia is full of so many amazing places for you and your partner to tie the knot, and Lexington is no exception. Whether you’re looking for a luxury indoor venue or a spot where you can say I do with the stunning mountains as your backdrop, there are so many amazing Lexington, VA wedding venues.

As a Virginia wedding photographer, I have had the opportunity to capture countless weddings across the state, and there are a few venues in Lexington that definitely stand out among the crowd.

So if you are looking for some amazing Lexington, VA wedding venues, let’s take a look at a few of my favorites.

Best Lexington, VA Wedding Venues

The Seclusion

Starting off this list, we have The Seclusion, and this venue is absolutely stunning. Inspired by both local and European styles, this venue is modern and chic while still having a ton of character.

The grounds sit on over 70 acres of private land and have panoramic views of the surrounding mountains that just can’t be beaten. Inside and out, no detail has been skipped, creating a dream wedding venue.

Before your wedding, you can head to The Loft and The Quarters to get ready in style. The Loft has plenty of room for you and your wedding party to relax and enjoy the morning together. Plus, it overlooks the beautiful Grand Hall.

The Quarters are located in a barn right next to the main building. Here, you can take the morning to enjoy with your closest friends and family, crack open a drink, play some corn hole, enjoy the mountain views, or have a bit of a pre-wedding party.

For unique portraits, you can head over to what they like to call “A Touch of Ritz,” a room decorated with leather couches and an eclectic collection of mirrors. Once you are ready to walk down the aisle, you can head out to their Ceremony Lawn, with sweeping views of the mountains as your backdrop when you tie the knot.

You can enjoy your cocktail hour on The Veranda with sweeping views of the mountains before heading into the Grand Hall for a reception you won’t forget.

When it comes to wedding venues, The Seclusion definitely sits at the top of the list. They truly created a space that has everything you need and left no detail out to give you the perfect place to start the rest of your life together!

The Georges Inn

The Georges Inn is a beautiful venue right in the heart of Lexington. This inn actually consists of 4 different buildings that sit on both sides of Main Street right in town. A perfect mix of history and luxury, this is such a unique wedding venue in Virginia.

There are a few different options for event spaces at the inn, but if you are planning on having a bigger wedding, the Patton Room is the perfect option. This venue can accommodate up to 120 guests for a seated reception and is absolutely beautiful inside.

The venue has a ton of natural light that lights up the room and has beautiful touches throughout, like salvaged windows, that make this space feel really unique.

The Patton Room is also the newest addition to The Georges Inn, and they renovated it in a way that makes it super flexible, so whatever your vision, you can make it happen here!

Since this is also an active inn, you and your guests can also stay right there. I love being able to do this so you can transform your wedding from a single day to a weekend full of family, friends, and love!

House Mountain Inn

The House Mountain Inn truly is an all-in-one venue for your wedding. When you have your wedding here, you rent out the entire inn, so you have exclusive access to everything the inn has to offer.

This means that you not only have places to stay but you also have a rehearsal dinner location, ceremony space, and reception venue all in one. The venue can accommodate 150+ guests, and you have the opportunity to use the space however you need for your wedding since you have access to all of the inn!

The ceremony location is surrounded by nature and creates the perfect oasis for you and your partner to say I do. Once you are ready to get the party started, you can head into the ballroom to dance the night away.

There is also an outdoor pavilion so you and your guests can truly enjoy the beauty and serenity of the venue!

Big Spring Farm

Rolling hills, a beautiful lake, an upscale barn, and lodging are just a few of the amazing features of Big Spring Farm. This venue feels like it is completely secluded from everything but is just a short drive from downtown Lexington.

Big Springs Farm perfected the balance between rustic and luxury. They are a four-season venue, so regardless of when you are getting married, your wedding will be amazing.

However, their outdoor ceremony location is just stunning. Surrounded by nature and with a beautiful lake as your backdrop, as you say I do, you can’t really ask for much more. Once you tie the knot, you can head into the barn to have your dream reception.

This isn’t just your average barn, either. First, it is climate-controlled, so regardless of what month you get married, you are going to be totally comfortable here. It is also constructed of beautiful wood with windows throughout, letting in so much natural light.

The barn itself also has a massive ceiling, so you feel like you are truly in a world of your own. They also have a semi-covered pavilion that is the perfect place to hang out with your guests, have your cocktail hour, or just enjoy the beauty of the surrounding area.

There are also two different houses you can rent on the property: The Midland House, which sleeps 10, and the Little Silver Cottage, which sleeps 4. Both of these are just minutes from the venue and from downtown Lexington!

Virginia Mountain Vineyards

Finally, to round out this list, we have the Virginia Mountain Vineyards. Now, this venue is a little bit outside of Lexington, but it is such a beautiful place to get married. The vineyard itself sits on just over 90 acres of land and has beautiful views of the surrounding mountains.

When it comes to your wedding here, you get to say I do right in the middle of the middle of the vineyards. There is a beautiful path leading to a wooden arch that creates the perfect backdrop for you and your partner.

After you tie the knot, you can have your reception right out on the lawn. There is a tented patio that gives you the perfect mix of luxury without sacrificing views. Plus, since this is also an active vineyard, you can choose from their amazing selection of wine for your wedding!
